The catch: not every reefer carrier is hazmat-authorized, and not every hazmat carrier runs reefers, so the qualified pool for “both” is small — plan lead times accordingly. Cross-dock and staging matter as much as the trailer: a compliant cold chain that breaks for four hours on a hot dock isn’t a cold chain.
